Project Description:
Renovation to nine kitchens in various buildings owned by the Detroit Public Schools. The kitchen equipment was purchased by the Owner and Detroit Contracting Inc. was hired to renovate the various kitchen areas in order to receive the new equipment.
The challenge with this contract was to complete all nine schools in less than nine months. The work ranged from renovating existing kitchens to turning storage rooms into kitchen and serving areas. Major plumbing, HVAC and ductwork, modification to CMU walls, new roofing modification to receive exhaust fans, new overhead doors and serving areas and electrical power upgrade for new equipment were some of the tasks under this contract. |
