Project Description:
DCI/Xcel, JV (a joint venture of Detroit Contracting, Inc. and Xcel Construction Services, Inc.) contracted with DWSD to furnish approximately 60,160 feet of 8-inch through 24-inch water main and related appurtenances including restoration, along with all required construction management services. The original contract for the installation of the 60,160 feet of pipe was to take three years to complete. The pipe was installed in one year, thus an additional 55,351 feet of pipe was added to the contract which is anticipated to complete before the original scheduled completion date of the project.
