Project Description:
Detroit Contracting, Inc. (DCI), contracted with DWSD to design, procure and install a completely integrated perimeter security system.
 The work includes upgrade of the existing fence and installation of new perimeter intrusion fence sensor system.
The fence will be repaired, replaced or relocated per the existing fence condition and a new intrusion fence cable system will be installed and integrated into existing plant security network.
The perimeter security system shall be a fence sensor type that shall detect intrusion (an intruder climbing or cutting the fence) per zones. The strain sensitive cable system will be able to simultaneously receive signals caused by an intruder and signals caused by the weather.
The fence perimeter intrusion system will help DWSD better mange the security of the five large Water Treatment plants. |
