Project Description:
Detroit Contracting, Inc. (DCI), contracted with DWSD to complete the erection of a new building enclosure, and removal/replacement of pumping units L1 & L2, including: pump, motor, and equipment bases and new valves.  Additional work included the addition of butterfly valves to the reservoir fill suction side and the replacement of cone valves to the reservoir fill lines, the removal and replacement of motors for pumps R1 & R2 and the replacement of gate valves, the removal and replacement of MCC1 & MCC2, replacement of the HPWS and air compressor systems, renovation of lift station and entry hatch, the removal and replacement of all catwalks with new FRP platforms, site paving of parking lot and driveway and the rework of the underground utilities.
