Project Description:
Detroit Contracting, Inc. contracted with Detroit Electrical Services, LLC to provide all equipment, labor, materials and services for the construction of a new VFD Building and the associated site work. This project includes a new Electrical Building that shall house the new water cooled VFD’s and new switchgear for existing High Lift Pumps. The site work included the underground utilities, site drainage, parking lot expansion complete with bumper posts and parking bumper blocks, foundation work which included dewatering for the installation of 24 deep caissons, and site restoration. The building work was a structural slab on grade with steel framework and built up roofing with precast exterior panels to match the existing structure, additionally we provided the complete mechanical system which includes the heating and ventilation as well as the heat exchanger units to cool the new VFD’s.
